(UPDATED 3) Power restored in south Cullman

CULLMAN — A power outage in south Cullman has been restored.

Officials worked to correct a power outage caused by an issue with a sub-transmission line feeding power to the South Cullman substation. 

The Cullman Power Board has now released a statement in regards to the outage:

Cullman Power Board customers located in the southwest and southeast areas of the service area experienced a power outage at approximately 12:30 p.m. today.  All power was restored by1:35 p.m.  The outage was caused by an operation of a substation feeder line.  CPB crews are performing detailed inspections of the equipment involved in the outage.  Approximately 1,200 customers were affected by the outage.  CPB appreciates the patience of our customers during the restoration period.
