2 injured in Wednesday evening accidents

CULLMAN — Two people were injured in separate accidents Wednesday evening.

Details of the accidents, which both caused brief traffic delays along Interstate 65, were not immediately available after the wrecks as Alabama State Troopers were tied up with traffic issues at the scenes.

The first accident was reported at 5 p.m. on I-65 at the 316 mile marker and left the driver, Michael Hinson, 25, of Bremen, injured. Troopers reported the accident involved only the vehicle Hinson was driving. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Another accident involving one vehicle occurred at 5:10 p.m. on I-65 at the 297 mile marker. The driver, Michael Dubois, 61, of Portland, Tenn., was not injured. But the passenger, Patricia Dubois, 64, of Portland, Tenn., was reported as injured. Troopers said both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
