Weather:



Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 104. Light southwest wind increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the morning.

Tonight will be a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Cullman City Board of Education: The previously scheduled work session for July 26 has been canceled.



For the community-minded: The Link of Cullman County, a nonprofit organization, will host a community-wide book study at 6 p.m. July 26, at Berkeley Bob’s Coffee Shop, 304 1st Ave. SE, Cullman 35055. The book, “When Helping Hurts: How to Alleviate Poverty Without Hurting the Poor and Yourself,” must be purchased before attending the first meeting of the eight-week book study. Cullman Regional Airport Board: Meeting at 11 a.m. at the Cullman Regional Airport/Folsom Field.

The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their fourth Friday luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 26. Cost is $10 fo rmembers; $20 for "future" members. Matt Wilson, business consultatnt with the Alabama Small Business Development Center Network will be guest speaker.
