The Cullman City Street Department plan to have patching crews at these prospective sites: 5th Ave. SE, 3rd Ave. NE and 3rd Ave NW.
Weather:
Today there will be isolated showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 73. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Of note:
The Continuing Education Department at Wallace State Community College will offer a “Sleep Medicine: An Overview” class from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25. Register now at 256-352-7826. This class provides 2 CEs for RNs and RTs. Fee is $20.
School is just around the corner - those who’d like to apply for breakfast/lunch assistance programs (free and reduced price) for their children may obtain applications at the Cullman County Board of Education or the local school offices.
In need of or have medical equipment to donate? First United Methodist Church has medical equipment for those who don’t have medical insurance or Medicare. Available are medical beds, wheelchairs, walkers and more. Those in need of such items, or to inquire about an item, should contact Tommy Lang at 256-287-0273. Those wishing to donate medical supplies that are in good condition should contact Mr. Lang.
