Special entertainment: East Elementary students will perform an adapted version of “The Sound of Music” at 7 p.m. Nov. 16 and at 11 a.m. Nov. 17 at the school. Arts and crafts show: The Vinemont Band Boosters will hold an arts and crafts show from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 16, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 17, at the McGukin Civic Center, 510 5th St. SW, Cullman 35055. Free admission. Many items, including holiday items, will make great gifts! Concessions are available; lunch items include loaded baked potato and taco soup. Door prizes will be awarded; entertainment provided. Proceeds to benefit the Vinemont Eagle Band program.

Chamber seeking full-time tourism director; creates new board
The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce is ramping up its focus on tourism, and is now seeking a full-time tourism director. The agency has also created a new, 11-person tourism board to focus solely on promoting travel and tourism in the area.
Plans to add a full-time tourism director have been in the works for almost a year, in cooperation with the City of Cullman and Cullman County Commission. -
