CCSF meeting: The Cullman City Schools Foundation will meet at 3:15 p.m. today in the second-floor Bearcat room at Central Office, 301 1st St. NE, Cullman 35055. All board members should plan to attend. Info: Dawn Klinger at 256-590-3159.

Origami lockets fundraiser: S.T.A.R.S., a Relay For Life team, will host an Origami Owl party from 10:30 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Rumor’s Deli, 105 1st Ave. NE, Cullman 35055. Proceeds from the lockets will go to Relay For Life, American Cancer Society. The lockets may be purchased along with little charms, backdrops and other items to tell the story of your life, or of the life of a loved one. Cool idea for Valentines Day.Those who cannot attend, may purchase a locket online at or contact Ms. Heaton at 256-339-3875.

Life Church’s annual fundraiser: The Run, Bike, Skate and Walkathon will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 16, at Sportsman Lake Park. All proceeds will go to send a team for relief work in Haiti this summer. For each person that obtains $25 in pledges, they will receive a free T-shirt. Also, balloons, face painting and food. Equine plowing meeting: A special meeting will be held for those interested in mule/horse and wagon plowing at 9 a.m. Feb. 16, at Peinhardt Living History Farm, 1711 Tally Ho St. SW, Cullman 35055. Attendees to the meeting need not own horses/mules or equipment, just a desire to help organize the North Alabama Equine Wagon/Plowing Club. Contact Pat Peinhardt at 256-734-7271.
