CULLMAN —
Local residents will get an update on the state of the area Friday, as part of the annual State of the City and State of the County hosted by the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce.
The luncheon meeting, sponsored by The Cullman Times, will begin at 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 25 and be held in the third floor banquet rooms at the All Steak Restaurant.
City of Cullman Mayor Max Townson and Cullman County Commission attorney Heath Meherg will be the keynote speakers, providing updates on new projects and initiatives. The two will discuss their goals and visions for the city and county.
Cullman County Commission Chairman Kenneth Walker was originally scheduled to speak on behalf of the county, but will be out of town for training. The two associate commissioners will also be unavailable due to previous engagements.
This event is part of a two-part series that will continue next month with mayors from the remaining Cullman County municipalities discussing growth and recent developments in their own towns.
Cost for Chamber members is $10 per person ($20 for “future” non-members) and includes lunch. For more information contact the Chamber at info@cullmanchamber.org or by telephone at 256-734-0454.
