The spring Tour of Homes put on by the Share Club of Cullman raised $16,000, managing $4,000 more than last year’s event for Hospice of Cullman County.
The tour was conducted April 28 through six locally owned homes.
Co-chairman of the event Laura Ray said even with the rainy weather, the 2013 event was a tremendous success.
“We thank all those who participated; they came out in the rain to be apart of the tour,” Ray said. “We’re just praising God for what we raised.”
For those who are unfamiliar, the Tour of Homes is an annual fundraiser that opens local homes to visitor, providing an opportunity to grab decorating ideas, floor plans, furniture arrangements and more during the event. Tickets were sold for $15 apiece.
“We received a lot of support from the community, our corporate sponsors and local businesses that participated,” Ray said. “We’re currently making plans for the next year’s tour.”
All proceeds raised from the event were donated to the Hospice of Cullman County, which is based at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
