Celebrate Cullman preparation in full swing

CULLMAN — Justin Gilley, part-owner of the Moe's Original BBQ restaurant slated to start downtown construction later this year, gets an early start on food prep at the vendor cart he'll man Friday evening at the second annual Celebrate Cullman event.

Sponsored by the Cullman Downtown Merchant's Association, Celebrate Cullman will turn First Avenue into a pedestrian zone, where guests can enjoy food, kids' activities and live music. The celebration oficially begins at 4 p.m., but Gilley said he's ready to serve anyone who's hungry and wants to check out the excitement before then.
