County crews restoring power for 200 customers

CULLMAN — About 200 customers across Cullman and Winston counties are without power after a round of thunderstorms this morning.

Overnight thunderstorms affected about the same number of customers, but crews from the Cullman County Electric Cooperative were able to repair those problems, said cooperative spokesman Brian Lacy.

Linemen are out at various location this morning bringing customers back on line. Lacy said there is not a specific area that was hit harder than another.

“It’s scattered all over the county in little pockets. We expect to have most of the problems solved later in the morning,” Lacy said.
