CULLMAN — CMS holiday concert and art showcase: Cullman Middle School’s Christmas Concert and Art Showcase will begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 11, in the high school auditorium. The concert will feature the sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade bands along with the CMS Chorus and Violins. Art created by CMS students will also be on display. Prelude music will be performed by the CMS piano students beginning at 6:25 p.m. Admission is free.

CHS bands to perform holiday concert: The Cullman High School Christmas Concert will be at  7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, in the high school auditorium. The concert will feature the High School Symphonic Band, Concert Band and Jazz Band. Admission is free.

Good Hope Christmas Parade: The first ever City of Good Hope Christmas Parade will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, with entries lining up at 1 p.m. in the parking lot at Good Hope High School. Route will proceed from the school along Trimble Road near Good Hope Baptist Church, then along County Road 437.

Following this event, Christmas in the Park (Municipal Park, 134 Town Hall Drive, Cullman 35057) will be held, free of admission with games, rides and photos with Santa (no charge if using own camera).

Pick up a free food ticket when entering the park for one bowl of chili, one hotdog and one beverage. Additional food may be purchased at the park.

Stars in the Harbor event: The City of Guntersville is sponsoring the Stars in the Harbor Winter Waterland boating event from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. Boats will be aglow in holiday lights on the water, landside will have a Christmas carnival featuring Santa Claus. Also, games, concessions and gift items available.
