CULLMAN — Christmas arts and crafts show: Sponsored by Cullman City Parks and Recreation, this show will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 7; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 8 at the civic center. Admission is free to the public. Lunch will be offered each day for purchase. Over 70 vendors will be there to offer their holiday items, gift items and Christmas decorations.

Shoot a turkey! The Hanceville Quarterback Club’s turkey shoot will be at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in the vacant lot at 7969 Highway 31, Hanceville 35077, just past Domino’s Pizza. All proceeds to go to Quarterback Club.

Christmas in Baileyton: The Town of Baileyton will hold a Christmas celebration (no charge for admission) at Baileyton Senior Center (195 Fire Station Road), from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 8. Bring your camera and have your photo taken with Santa (free). Also, refreshments will be offered at no charge.

Christmas ornament craft fundraiser: The Purple Skies Relay For Life team will host a fundraiser, painting a Christmas ornament, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 8, at the Painted Bisquet, 1607 3rd St. NE, Cullman 35055. Proceeds to go to Relay For Life.

Swamp John’s meal: The Dodge City Fire Department will hold a Swamp John’s dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Dodge City Fire Department, 1407 Highway 69, Hanceville 35077. $10/plate includes fish, chicken or shrimp; and the usual sides. Advance tickets may be purchased at the town hall, from Dodge City Firefighters or at the door. Proceeds are earmarked to purchase digital radios for the department.

Dodge City’s Lighting of the Park: The Town of Dodge City will host the Lighting of Ray Park - A Christmas to Remember, from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 8. Santa will be there; come and share cookies and cocoa with him. Park will be open for viewing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening in December from 5 to 8 p.m. Park located behind the town hall at 130 Howard Circle.
