The Cullman City Street Department will have patch crews working at these sites: Pinewood Dr. NW, Lakehill St. NW and Northwood Dr. NW.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. East wind around 5 mph becoming south after midnight.

Cullman City Board of Education: The Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the board room at 301 1st St. NE, Cullman 35055.

Grief Support group: Omega Hospice will hold grief support group meetings at 5:30 p.m. at Westminster Assisted Living Facility, 1020 Olive St. SW, Cullman 35055. For anyone dealing with grief. Info: Glen Taylor at 256-737-1793.

Community dance: The Midway Community Center will hold a dance at 7 p.m. featuring the Baileyton Boys. Admission is $4; all proceeds go to upkeep of community center, 164 Midway Road, Union Grove 35175.

Swamp John’s meal: The Fairview Youth Football Association will hold a homecoming supper, catered by Swamp John’s, from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2013. Plates can be picked up at Fairview School cafeteria. $10/plate. Menu: Choice of fish, shrimp or chicken served with fries, coleslaw, hushpuppies, dessert and drink.

Mudcreek arts/crafts festival: The fourth annual Mudcreek arts/crafts festival will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, in downtown historical Hanceville. All proceeds will benefit Hanceville schools. Free admission. Also at the festival, locally grown produce for sale, kids’ activities, judged art show, sidewalk art show, bring lawn chair for entertainment, take historical walking tours of homes, churches and buildings, concessions available. For those who like a German lunch, line up at Trinity Lutheran at 10:30 a.m.; proceeds from the lunch also benefit Hanceville schools.
