Fair parade held Saturday (WITH VIDEO)

CULLMAN — The annual Cullman County Fair Parade was held Saturday. Gates will open to the fairgrounds Thursday at 5 p.m. following a ribbon cutting ceremony. Officials will begin receiving entries Sunday at the fairgrounds.

SUNDAY

1 PM - 5 PM: Receive individual entries in Photography (Exhibit Building)

Receive individual entries in Art (Exhibit Building)

Receive THE FOLLOWING field crops and Honey (Agriculture Exhibit Building)

* Department M – Field Crops

* Division I - Corn

* Division II – Hay

* Division III – Cotton

* Division IV – Soybeans

* Division V – Potatoes

* Department N – Apiculture – All the Honey Entries

MONDAY

9 AM - 5 PM: Set up Exhibit Booths - Commercial, Community Clubs, 4-H, FCCLA, FFA

Noon - 6 PM: Receive individual entries in Handicraft, Sewing and Canning

Receive individual entries in Art (Exhibit Building)

TUESDAY

9 AM - 5 PM: Set up Exhibit Booths - Commercial, Community Clubs, 4-H, FCCLA, FFA

Noon - 6 PM: Receive individual entries in Handicraft, Sewing and Canning

THURSDAY

8 AM - 10 AM: Receive entries in Horticulture (Dept. O)

8 AM – 11 AM: Receive individual entries in Food, Field Crops, and Honey

Division VII – Peppers

Division VIII – Watermelons

Division IX – Vegetables

Division X – Tomatoes

Division XI –Current Season Gourds

9 AM - 11 AM: Receive Division III FCCLA and FFA food entries

1 PM: Judging of Exhibits [Closed to Public]

5 PM: Ribbon Cutting and Flag Raising Ceremony will open the 2010 Fair. Gates Open to the Fairground. On the Midway, North American Midway and Entertainment.

6 PM: "Tiny Fair Princess" and "Petite Fair Princess" Pageant.

FRIDAY

5 PM: Gates Open to the Fairgrounds.

7 PM: Talent contest (Coca Cola Theatre)

Midnight: Close

SATURDAY

2 PM: Gates Open to the Fairgrounds

5 PM: Beef Cattle Show (Herdsman Award in Cattle Area following show.)

7 PM: Heaton Brothers Band

Midnight: Close

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25

2 PM: Gates Open to the Fairgrounds.

7 PM: Military Salute

8 PM: Close

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

Noon: Gates Open to the Fairgrounds.

1 PM: All school children will be admitted free until 6 PM

2 PM: Receive and weigh Market Lamb and Breeding Sheep entries

Receive Junior Meat Goat/Breeding Goat entries

6 PM: Junior Market Lamb and Breeding Sheep Show

10 AM - 1 PM: Senior Citizens Day at the Fair

3 PM - 5 PM: Receive Junior Horse Show entries

5 PM: Gates Open to the Fairgrounds

6:30 PM: Junior Horse Show Tri-Green Agricultural Building

7 PM: Karaoke Night (Coca Cola Theatre)
