CULLMAN — A Cullman man was arrested Monday on a Georgia warrant for alleged sexual battery of a child.

Charles Naramore, 42, was arrested on the felony warrant at a residence in the Battleground area on County Road 1212. Major Scott Clay said he and Captain Rickey Blackwood, both of the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office, were working on the case for over a week and received a tip where Naramore had been staying.

“After we got the tip, we talked with other investigators and were able to go to the residence and serve the warrant,” Clay said. “He will be extradited back to Georgia.”

Naramore lived in Cullman County for several years, moved to Georgia and moved back to the area. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has the warrant on Naramore for the charge and the local sheriff’s office was able to locate him and make the arrest.

Naramore is being held at the Cullman County Detention Center without bond while awaiting extradition.

“I appreciate the help from the public in locating him, Cullman County investigators and also Forsyth County investigators for their hard work,” Clay said.
