Despite the economic recession, the town of Good Hope has remained relatively financially stable throughout the year.
During their regular meeting Monday, the Good Hope Town Council approved their budgeted revenues and expenses for August and discussed their finances since October 2008. Mayor Corey Harbison said revenue over the past year has exceeded what was projected when then the 2008-09 fiscal year budget was adopted.
"We're still about $30,000 ahead," Harbison said. "We've done good with the budget."
