A three-vehicle accident at U.S. 278 East and 3rd Avenue Southeast this morning left one driver injured.
The driver has not been identified, but a Cullman Police Department officer who worked at the scene of the accident said the man was unconscious when officers and rescue personnel arrived. The man was taken to Cullman Regional Medical Center.
The drivers of the other vehicles did not report serious injuries at the scene, the officer said.
The accident occurred at 9:56 a.m. when a motorist turned left into the path of an oncoming vehicle on U.S. 278. The car that pulled out into the highway was heavily damaged, the officer reported.
The road was cleared for traffic to continue by 10:35 a.m. No charges have been made, but the accident remains under investigation.
