With tickets set to go on sale December 13, Rock the South organizers have announced the ticket tiers and prices for the 2014 edition of the festival.
Almost every ticket tier will see a slight increase next year, though the two-day general admission price will remain at $49. A one-day pass will increase from $30 to $39, while a Platinum ticket will increase from $89 to $99. The VIP section will also cost more this year, increasing from $169 to $199.
Organizers have also added a new seating tier, dubbed Ultimate VIP, which will be located directly in front of the stage at a cost of $399 per ticket. Ultimate VIP includes a reserved front row seat, access to the VIP section amenities (separate bar, restrooms, parking) and a meet-and-greet with at least one act.
Yet another headliner has also been added to the event: Country rocker Colt Ford, known for his hit songs “Waste Some Time,” “Back” and “Waffle House.”
The 2014 edition of the festival will already include The Charlie Daniels Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Little Big Town, Billy Currington and event host Sara Evans.
Organizer Shane Quick said Ford should make a great addition to the line-up.
“Colt is not only one of the top song writers in country music he's also one of the best entertainers,” organizer Shane Quick said. “Rock the South is pleased to add him to the 2014 line up. We know thousands of fans will be very happy about this announcement as well.”
Set for June 20-21, 2014 at Heritage Park, the next Rock the South will look to build on the massive 35,000-person turnout from last year, which attracted tens of thousands of people to the area. Tickets for this year's Rock the South concert festival in Cullman will officially go on sale at 10 a.m. on December 13.
