— A large presence of Army National Guard and deputies from the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office near Good Hope raised some eyebrows Wednesday.

Chief Deputy Max Bartlett said deputies worked with a military convey to help the vehicles avoid being stopped by traffic as they were traveling from one location to another.

“In order to help them not get caught by traffic, we assisted them so their military vehicles could stay together while traveling,” Bartlett said. “It wasn’t anything important, no one should be concerned. We were just asked to help.”
