CULLMAN —
A Falkville man is recovering at a Birmingham-area hospital after being stabbed in the abdomen during an apparent altercation Thursday afternoon.
Cullman County Sheriff Mike Rainey said Author Burt Holt, 58, was listed in stable condition Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred on County Road 1109 near the Battleground community at the home of Robert Ray Pearson.
Reports from authorities indicate an altercation between Holt and Pearson occurred inside the mobile home moments before Holt suffered the stab wound.
Due to Holt’s current medical condition, Rainey said they have not been able to interview Holt.
Rainey added the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
