Arrests
Attempt to commit a controlled substance crime — Steven Kurt Potts, 47, of Blountsville arrested on Broadway Ave. at Cherokee Ave. SW.
Forfeitures-insurance violation (2 counts) — Tommy Wayne Cloud, 33, of Cullman arrested on 4th St. SW.
Unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle — Jeremy Dean Craighead, 32, of Shelbyville, Tenn., arrested on Highway 278 W.
Failures to appear-improper lane usage, DUI — Rickey Lee Mosley, 46, of Cullman arrested at the Cullman County Detention Center.
Incidents
Attempt to commit a controlled substance crime — State of Alabama, Broadway Ave. at Cherokee Ave. SW, U.S. currency, methamphetamine-$2,250, arrest made.
Criminal mischief, theft of property — Pepsi Cola, 5th St. SW, Pepsi machiine damaged, money box w/cash stolen-$240.
Theft of property — Larry Ave. SW, baskets of flowers, terra cotta pots, birdhouse-$250.
Incident — 4th Ave. SE.
Out of state runaway — Highway 157 at I-65.
Domestic violence — 2nd Ave. SW.
Unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle — Highway 278 W, arrest made.

Arrests
Probation revocation-attempt to commit a controlled substance crime — Janet Renee Beasley, 35, arrested at the Cullman County Detention Center.
Order of arrest-child support — Jeffery William Dillard, 35, arrested in Cullman.
Failures to appear-driving while license revoked, dangerous drugs — Eric Timothy Gonzales, 28, arrested at the Cullman County Detention Center.
Rape — Zackary Ryan Kuykendall, 22, arrested at the Cullman County Detention Center.
Incidents
Theft of property — County Road 156.
Domestic violence-harassment — County Road 831.
Found narcotics — County Road 437.
Theft of property — Highway 69 N.
Harassing communications — Highway 91 S.
Burglary, theft of property — County Road 726.
Recovered stolen property — Highway 31 S.
Endangering the welfare of a child — County Road 1718.

The search for Cullman’s first tourism director has hit a slight delay, as the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce has opted to re-post the opening following an initial round of applications late last month.

Bringing jobs to county, city
By 1943, the first Cullman Chamber of Commerce had been formed. At that time there were few industries but people began to realize the need for a group, such as the Chamber, to centralize their efforts. Raymond Yost was the Chamber’s first president, and Emma Marie Edleman became the go-to person to get things done around Cullman.
