Times adds new sections to

Staff Reports
The Cullman Times

CULLMAN — Visitors to have probably spotted a few changes to the design this weekend, as we’ve added a new section to the homepage and expanded our state and national coverage with specific sections to quickly find news on those topics in one place.

The biggest addition is the “Must Read” section to the right side of our homepage, which will be updated with interesting national features, viral videos and news of note throughout the day.

We’ve been adding this content in different areas over the past several months, and traffic statistics show readers have enjoyed it — so we’ve decided to give it a more prominent place on our homepage right beside the major local headlines.

The addition should nearly double the amount of daily content we provide at, and we hope you’ll enjoy it.

“We're pleased to offer this unique content to our website and hope our viewers enjoy it as much as we think they will,” Times publisher Bill Morgan said. “This addition is just part of a continuing process of keeping The Cullman Times the local media outlet most used by Cullman County residents to keep up with the news, no matter how they prefer to view it — in print, on the computer or via a tablet or smart phone. We now have more than 335,000 visits and 843,000 page views at each month.”

As we’ve expanded with more state and local news as of late, we’ve also decided to add “State” and “National” buttons prominently to our navigation bar under “Top News” so readers know where to go to find out what’s happening in Alabama and the world.

So if you’re looking for local Cullman County news, breaking state and national news or quirky features — now has it all.
