They've called it: Shedd wins District 11 runoff for GOP nomination

8:40 p.m.: Randall Shedd has defeated Danny Alldredge in the runoff for the Republican nomination for the Alabama District 11 House seat. Shedd will now face a Democratic nominee in a May general election.

Final Totals from Cullman County:

Randall Shedd: 1,406, Danny Alldredge: 876 votes.

Final Totals from Blount County:

Danny Alldredge: 204 votes, Randall Shedd: 122 votes.

Final Totas from Morgan County:

Randall Shedd: 93 votes, Danny Alldredge 75 votes.

 

8:30 p.m.: IT'S OVER: They've called it at the Cullman County Courthouse. Randall Shedd wins the Republican nomination for the District 11 House seat. He beats Danny Alldredge. Final totals coming soon.

8:25 p.m.: Final results from Morgan County. Randall Shedd wins the county with 93 votes, vs. Danny Alldredge's 75 votes. Still waiting on final results from Cullman Co., but Shedd has a solid lead.

8:20 p.m.: First results come in from Morgan County. With 62 percent of precincts reporting, Shedd leads with 39 votes against Alldredge's 24 votes.

8:07 p.m.: FINAL RESULTS are in from Blount County. Danny Alldredge wins the county with 204 votes vs. Randall Shedd's 122 votes. This keeps Alldredge close, but Shedd has a larger lead in Cullman County.

7:57 p.m.: Shedd's lead grows in Cullman Co. with 10 of 20 boxes reporting. Shedd has 685 votes to Alldredge's 385 votes.

7:55 p.m.: 4 of 8 boxes reporting in Blount County and Alldredge takes the lead over Shedd in that county. Up  101 votes to 80 votes. But Shedd maintains larger margin in Cullman Co., which has more district voters.

7:45 p.m.: First 5 boxes from Cullman County are counted. Randall Shedd takes the lead with 291 votes. Danny Alldredge trails with 155 votes.

7:40 p.m.: First results are in. With 3 of 8 boxes reporting in Blount County, Randall Shedd has a slight lead with 30 votes (53%), against Danny Alldredge's 27 votes (47%).

7:05 p.m.: The polls have closed. Keep an eye on this story for the latest results in the House District 11 race for the GOP nomination.

Randall Shedd is facing off with Danny Alldredge for the GOP nomination. The winner will face a Democratic candidate in a May general election.
