Bass Fishing Hall of Fame President Sammy Lee will be the guest speaker at a Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce event Friday, where he is expected to speak about the organization and potential benefits of the upcoming hall of fame in Cullman.
Cullman successfully recruited the hall of fame to the area earlier this year, and officials are working with the bass board to finalize plans for a joint-use facility that will house a new civic center and hall of fame.
This will be one of the first times Lee has spoken publicly about the project since selecting Cullman over several other potential sites at the hall of fame’s induction ceremony in Oklahoma on February 22.
Lee will be speaking at the Chamber’s monthly “Fourth Friday” luncheon at 11:50 a.m., which will return to the All Steak Restaurant in downtown Cullman after being relocated last month due to the All Steak’s move to a new location.
The All Steak is now located at 323 Third Avenue SE.
The luncheon will be hosted by the Chamber’s Tourism Committee and sponsored by American Proteins.
Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for networking, with the program set to begin at 11:50 am. Lunch is $10 per person for Chamber members and $20 for “Future” non-members. Reservations in advance are required.
Trent Moore can be reached by e-mail at trentm@cullmantimes.com, or by telephone at 734-2131, ext. 220.
