CULLMAN — Good morning! Here is your morning news:

Traffic news:

The Cullman County Road Department is currently working on County Road 1436.

The Cullman City Street Department will have a patching crew working in various parts of the city.



Weather:

Chill those water bottles, today it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 101. Calm wind. Tonight  is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. Continued calm wind.



Best bets:

Yard sale: Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 2830 County Road 216, Hanceville 35077, will hold a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Friday, with all proceeds benefiting church projects.



VFW building rentals: VFW Post 2214 is available for rental Sunday through Friday; call for dates. All proceeds to benefit community projects. Contact Commander Jerry Willibey at 256-347-0807.
