Not really. Summer weather is in full swing as a chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms will linger throughout the week. According to the National Weather Service, the chance for those afternoon boomers will linger around 30 percent until Thursday when the chance rises to 50 percent. And expect plenty of humidity along the way.
The return of summer rain patterns is not bad news f or farmers. After experience a dry spell, rain has been frequent for the area.
In fact, watch for reports in The Times this week to explain how some parts of Alabama are in a drought and others are not.
