Traffic:



The Cullman County Road Department will have a paving crew on County Road 522.



Weather:



Today there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight will be a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Calm wind.

Breastfeeding support group at CRMC: The group will meet at 9 a.m. in the CRMC Community Education Center in Professional Office Building II (1912 Alabama Highway 157, POB II, Cullman, AL 35058). Info: CRMC Nursery at 256-737-2221.



Certified Nursing Assistant class: The Continuing Education Department at Wallace State Community College will hold a Certified Nursing Assistant Information class at 6 p.m. today in the Bevill Building, Room 408. No fee to attend the information session.



Looking ahead:



Autism group to meet at Stone Bridge Farm: The Cullman Area Autism Networking group will meet at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 14, at Stone Bridge Farm, 157 County Road 717, Cullman 35055. Attendees will get to make their own pizza, and there will be salad, dessert and drinks. Cost is $5 - RSVP no later than noon Monday, Aug. 13. Saddle drawing tickets available: The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office is currently selling tickets for a chance to win a custom saddle by Running P Saddlery, to be given away at the Dec. 8 Cullman County Sheriff’s Jimmy Arrington Memorial Rodeo. Tickets are $1 a piece or $5 for 6 tickets and are sold at the back entrance of the Cullman County Courthouse (parking lot side). All proceeds to benefit the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Special Projects Fund.

Subscribers in the southwest section of the City of Cullman may experience delay in receiving their papers; the carrier had early morning car trouble, but is out and about getting those papers delivered.
