Bremen man stabbed 4 times in alleged fight over girlfriend

COLD SPRINGS — A Bremen man was stabbed four times early Friday afternoon in the Cold Springs area during a fight that reportedly started over a woman.

Charles Clemmons, of Bremen, was reportedly stabbed during an altercation with Cold Springs resident Terry Parker. Clemmons was airlifted from the scene and taken to UAB Hospital.

The incident remains under investigation by the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office.

According to sheriff’s office reports, the fight broke out shortly after the two men arrived at a residence associated with the unidentified woman, just off Alabama Hwy. 69 near the Stony Lonesome OHV Park.

No charges have currently been filed.

Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Capt. John Montgomery said deputies are currently seeking out witnesses and background to develop a clearer picture of the events leading up to the altercation.

“We’ll hopefully gather more information, and we’ll be speaking to witnesses and Mr. Clemmons once he is able to speak with police,” Montgomery said.
