Police still looking for information on Burger King robbery

The Cullman Police Department scheduled a polygraph test for the Burger King assistant manger who was allegedly robbed at a stop sign in downtown Cullman a week ago en route to deposit nearly $7,000 from her shift.

Police officers were notified after Burger King assistant manager Amanda Marie Smith Jordan, 29, was allegedly attacked while sitting at a stop sign in her vehicle on 4th Avenue/9th Street Southwest in Cullman around 5:15 on Thursday night.

“We are continuing to work with Burger King and the employee (victim),” Green said. “The polygraph test may be considered for part of the continuing investigation. Per the original story in The Cullman Times, we have developed a few leads that investigation is following up on. We hope to have more answers in the near future.”

Jordan reported that a black male with a medium build, in a black hoodie, attacked her, stole deposit money from the restaurant totaling around $7,000, took her purse, punched her in the face and left in an unknown direction.

A Cullman resident located the Burger King deposit bags with coins still in them near their yard Dec. 20.

Green asks that anyone with information on the robbery contact the Cullman Police Department at 256-734-1434.

Lauren Estes can be reached at or 256-734-2131, ext. 137.
