Vinemont woman killed in car crash

CULLMAN — A Vinemont woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident just before 11 a.m. on Thursday on U.S. Highway 278.

An Alabama State Trooper spokesperson said Nancy Fowler Wynn, 59, of Vinemont was driving a 2012 Kia, not wearing a seatbelt, and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Cullman County Coroner Steve Rodgers confirmed that she was deceased upon his arrival and her cause of death was blunt force trauma.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 2004 Dodge, was Donald Trammell, 61, of Cullman. He was injured, wearing a seatbelt, and transported by ambulance to Cullman Regional Medical Center.

The accident occurred at 10:51 a.m., nine miles west of Cullman and is under investigation.
