Organizations across the Cullman area are gearing up to participate in this year’s Cares & Shares Food Drive, which benefits Cullman Caring For Kids’ Food Bank.
The drive, sponsored by The Cullman Times, opened Monday and will run through Oct. 12.
Remember that $1 buys seven pounds of food. Last year, checks written for $100, for example, bought 700 pounds for the food bank.
The Food Bank is serving the needs of more than 500 families each month, including many single-parent homes that are facing financial difficulties.
Donations may be brought to the Times’ office at 300 Fourth Avenue SE anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please make any monetary donations by check.
For additional information, contact David Palmer, editor, at 256-734-2131, ext. 213, or dpalmer@cullmantimes.com.
