Storm damage reported across Cullman County

COMMERCE — A powerful thunderstorm carrying high winds and hail toppled trees and power lines in the last half hour.

Responders are on the their way to several communities where trees reportedly fell on houses and across roads in Crane Hill, Logan, Spring Hill and around Smith Lake. Trees were also ripped up in the east side of the county, but Emergency Management Agency director Phyllis Little said reports are just now making it in to her office.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in place until 4 p.m.
