City police looking for help in multiple burglaries

— Three burglaries, three breaking and entering into motor vehicles, and two theft of property incidents were reported to local law enforcement over the weekend within the Cullman city limits.

Cullman City Police Chief Kenny Culpepper said at this point, the thefts could potentially be related, but it’s an on-going investigation and they are seeking the public’s help.

“If anyone knows anything about the local thefts, please contact our investigators,” Culpepper said.

Three unlawful breaking and entering of motor vehicles reports were filed since Friday. One occurred on Cherokee Avenue Southwest at T&T Motors and over $1,500 of damage and property was stolen. Both St. Joseph Drive and 2nd Street Southwest had vehicles broken into and items stolen.

Three burglary incident reports were filed over the weekend. Two burglaries were reported on Highway 157 near Gold Star Storage where nearly $1,000 in property and items were taken. The third burglary occurred on Birmingham Street Southwest.

Two theft of property charges were filed on Third Street Southeast and Olive Street Southwest. One location reported $162 in cash was taken and the second reported a watch valued at $750 was stolen.
