CULLMAN — Good morning, readers, this is what's happening today:



Traffic news:

The Cullman City Street Department will have patching crews at Pinewood Dr. NW, Pinecrest St. NW and Convent Road NE today.

The Cullman County Road Department urges drivers who travel County Road 1301 to begin looking for alternative routes as this road will be closed for six weeks beginning Monday.



Weather:

Put your swim fins on! Today we have continued showers and thunderstorms with a high near 79; precipitation is 90 percent. Tonight there will be a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with cooling temperatures at a low around 68.
