CULLMAN —
One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday on Alabama 69 near Dodge City.
The accident occurred at 2 p.m. when a 1991 Ford Ranger and a 2007 International belonging to the Cullman County Commission collided, according to a spokesman for the Alabama State Troopers post in Decatur.
Robin Bridges, 25, of Cordova, died from injuries in the accident. She was wearing a seatbelt, the State Trooper spokesman said.
The driver of the Ford Ranger, James Perrin, 24, of Decatur, was injured. He was wearing a seatbelt, the Trooper reported.
The driver of the International was identified as John Edward Harris, 51, of Cullman. He was not injured, according to the State Trooper report.
Traffic was backed up for much of the afternoon following the accident. AirEvac was reportedly called to the scene.
The Trooper spokesman said the investigation will continue. No charges have been issued in connection to the accident.
