A Cullman County man was killed Wednesday while helping bale hay at a farm near Hanceville.
“Some men were bailing hay, and apparently the hay bailer malfunctioned,” said Cullman County Coroner Gary Murphree. “While they were working on it, a man named Mason Nibblett was trapped and was crushed under part of the equipment.”
The accident occurred around 1:40 p.m. Wednesday at a farm on Alabama Highway 91 near Hanceville, Murphree said.
Nibblett, 61, who lives near Hanceville, was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday from injuries he received in the accident.
