The Cullman County Board of Education approved the termination of approximately 45 teachers from schools across the county system at a Tuesday night meeting.
“We have made the final decisions,” Superintendent Hank Allen said.
The names of the teachers being let go have not been released, as all of them have yet to be notified of their non-renewal.
The cuts are made necessary by a reduced, prorated state education budget and a drop in overall enrollment for the system.
