Dodge City council discusses road construction

DODGE CITY — The Dodge City town council met Thursday evening and discussed potential road construction and repair projects the town plans to begin soon.

County Road 216, County Road 239, County Road 237, County Road 262 and County Road 263 are all routes the town hopes to repair, by adding new gravel and filing in potholes.

“The county (road department) will handle those,” town council chairperson Tawana Canada said. “We will be getting an estimate to determine exactly how much that will cost.”

The council also discussed plans to add street lights to both the town park, as well as Bullet Drive.
