nchandler@cullmantimes.com The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its 10th Annual Rodeo Dec. 7-8 at the Cullman Agriculture Center. The event starts at 7 p.m. and will run until the fun is over, Sheriff Tyler Roden said. “There will be more rodeo than you can stand for as long as you can stand,” Roden said. “If you’ve never had a chance to see a rodeo, I think this would be the one to come to. So come out and have a good time.” Despite being in December, Roden said preparations have been made inside the Cullman Agriculture Center to make it as warm as possible. Lone Star Rodeo Company will be holding its rodeo finals at this year’s event compared to being the first stop on the rodeo’s tour in past years. Roden said because of this spectators will be treated to some of the best cowboys in the business. The money raised from the event will go to help provide new equipment to school resource programs. Roden said the community in past years has shown its support for the Sheriff’s Office and the rodeo. “The community support we have received in the past has always made the rodeo a success. We think this year will be even better,” Roden said. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students. Ticket prices at the door are $12 adult for adults and $10 for students with all children five and under admitted for free. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Jack’s Western Wear in Good Hope, John’s Tack & Western Wear in Water Valley, and all locations of Merchants Bank.
