STAFF WRITER There was a full house on hand to see Alabama Attorney General Troy King speak at Saturday’s Republican breakfast. King addressed the war and the economy. “Don’t believe it when they tell you there’s no differences in our parties,” King said. On the war issue, he talked about McCain’s war time experience and his desire to finish what the country has began. “There is a war to be won,” he said. The other major issue was the economy and its direction. “When America faces a crisis, one candidate suspended his campaign to help America,” King said. “We need someone who will lead and not follow.” Another issue addressed was the value of human life. “We believe life is sacred,” King said. “I tremble when I think about what the Obama administration would mean to children-born and unborn.” King urged the crowd to get involved in their government. “My request for you is to engage,” he said. “It’s all about government, national, state and local.” He repeated how important issues are and standing up for Republican values. “Don’t be afraid to tell people what you believe,” King urged. “Do it for our children.”
