LETTER TO EDITOR: A scary area of the highway

The Cullman Times

CULLMAN — In the last six years, I have called the State Highway Department in Joppa. Nobody has any idea of what to do concerning this issue:

Cars who come from Highway 278 E (Holly Pond) and traffic from Highway 69 in Cullman have to wait to turn left at East Point Tires to get to Highway 157. At the top of the “hill” the grass is nearly 2 feet tall. A big truck is easy to see, but a small car is invisible at times.

We need someone to cut the grass to make this a less dangerous spot. I suggest the Cullman Road Department. The State Highway Department doesn’t seem to care about this issue.
