The Cullman Times
Your political cartoon in Tuesday's edition of The Cullman Times reminded me of why I rarely purchase your newspaper anymore. The cartoon depicted the president of the NRA being arrested by a police officer. Above the picture was the statement by Wayne LaPierre that says "the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun." The demonization of gun owners by the state-controlled media is quite detestable to me. I would imagine that probably 75-80 percent of your readers are gun owners who believe in the Second Ammendment.
First of all, having a uniform, gun and a badge does not make one a good guy. Secondly, owning a gun does not make one a bad guy. Our government wages unjust wars all around the world. I don’t see politicians crying about all of the innocent women and children whom they kill. I dont see any tears for the thousands of babies who are aborted on a daily basis. While the shooting in Newtown was horrific, I see the fake tears of criminal politicians for what they are — a crisis that they can use to disarm the public. They know the money printing and debasement of the dollar will ultmately lead to a collapsed economy and social unrest. The Second Ammendment was not intended to protect hunters or sportsmen. It was put into place to protect US from THEM.
