A child's view on politics

CULLMAN — On Wednesday morning when my nine-year old granddaughter looked at the election map she asked, “Did Romney win?” When told that Obama won she replied, “But how can that be? Look at all the states Romney won. He won Texas and that the biggest state.” After a discussion about populations and electoral votes she understood, somewhat, how Romney lost. Then she said, “I can’t wait for these next four years to be over.” Appropriately, the child’s name is Reagan and we are pleased that she takes an interest in politics.
