Traffic light needed

The Cullman Times

This is an open letter and plea to the mayor of Cullman, Don Green, and the city council to please put a traffic light at Main Ave. and Olive Street SW.

The traffic down here is horrendous. Many wrecks have already occurred. Many more wrecks are going to happen, because people pass on both shoulders of the road, do not stop at the stop signs, and speed on. This is a very serious problem for the people who live here and for the people who travel in this area.

We have traffic from Heritage Park, Woodland Nursing Home, Woodland Medical Center, doctors' offices, special events at the park, Wal-Mart, the shopping center, restaurants, traffic from the plants, and I-65 traffic.

Please help us solve this problem. We need your help before someone is killed. Thank you.

Glenda and Earnest Wright
