Funeral services for J.W. Dial, 76, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at Center Point Baptist Church, the Revs. Brady Kilgore and Brandon Loyd officiating, with interment in Brooklyn Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dial died Friday, Nov. 21, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born in Cullman County to Pascal and Lula Morris Dial. He was a minister, mechanic and school bus driver. He was a member of Center Point Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy Evans Dial; a sister, Imogene Dial Harris; a stepson, Willie J. Heatherly; and his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie Fay Heatherly Dial; a son, Joseph William Dial; five daughters, Beverly Diane Dial, Ramona (Gary) Yarbrough, Annette (Clay) Thomas, Tina (Michael) Hardin and Susan (Barry) Morgan; five stepchildren, Diann Kimball, Charles Heatherly, Betty Heatherly, David Heatherly and Robert Heatherly; two brothers, Therman Dial and Pierce Dial; two sisters, Sarah Stewart and Jo McGriff; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 18 stepgrandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
