John William ‘Bill’ Boatright
Funeral services for John William “Bill” Boatright of Hanceville will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Dudley Brock and Don Froelich officiating, with interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Boatright died Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Woodland Medical Center. Grandad Bill was born on June 1, 1920, in Cullman County to William Jordan and Catherine Hamm Boatright. He was a farmer and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 55 years, Ruby Cone Boatright; three brothers, Roy Boatright, Ollie Boatright and Elbert Boatright; and two sisters, Eva Folds and Frances Mauro.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny (Ruth) Boatright and Andy (Cindy) Boatright; a daughter, Joan (Joe) Walker; three grandchildren, Lesley (Lisa) Walker, Brandi (J.C.) Corneglio and John LaWayne Walker; a great-grandson, John Alex Corneglio IV; two sisters, Lorene Mann and Dorothy Culwell; a brother, Aubrey (Audrey) Boatright; caregiver, Tim McDowell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
