Charles Elwin Arnold

Funeral services for Charles Elwin Arnold, 59, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Edwin Hayes officiating, with interment in Cullman City Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Arnold passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 22, 1948, in Cullman to Herbert Hall and Thelma Hicks Arnold. He graduated from Cullman High School and the University of Alabama. He was a lifelong member of Cullman First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Daxon Hall Arnold of Opelika and Whitney Tyson Arnold; his parents; a brother, Douglas Arnold of Garden City; a sister-in-law, Melissa Arnold of Garden City; niece and nephews, Julie, Forrest and Frank Arnold; and great-nieces, Zoe and Mya.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Pallbearers will be Bert Mackentepe, Steve Singleton, Greg Mayo, Bill Ingram, Frank Arnold, Robbie Werner and Dan Allen.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
