J. Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Young

Funeral services for J. Kenneth “Kenny” Young, 53, of Bremen will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Johnny Freeman officiating, with interment in New Hope North Cemetery in Falkville.

Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Young died Thursday, Aug. 7, at his residence. He was born on Sept. 18, 1954, in Cullman to James Dwight and Nellie Katherine Holmes Young. He worked for Cerro Wire and Cable for 30 years. He loved to hunt, fish, cook and spend time with his family. He was a good man who loved and was loved and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Charles D. Young.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Marlene Calvert Young of Bremen; two sons, Kenneth Dwain Young and Stanley James Young, both of Bremen; three brothers, Roger J. (Donna) Young, Mark A. (Beth) Young and Michael T. (Kim) Young, all of Vinemont; best friends, Don Mitchell of Bremen and Beuhl Rusk of Logan; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Young, Shane Young, Skip Willoughly, Kerry Freeman, Randy Lovery and Shane Weeks.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
