Missing Vinemont man found in Tuscaloosa

The Vinemont man who went missing Monday while traveling on Interstate 65 was found uninjured in Tuscaloosa Wednesday morning.

Chief Deputy Tony Quick of the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office said Tuscaloosa police located Frank Freeman, 79, around 7 a.m. at a Piggly Wiggly grocery store.

“Someone just noticed him and called the police because he looked like he was lost,” Quick said. “The police came down, identified him and found out he was missing.”

Freeman has since returned to Cullman County, Quick said.
