Elks Club donates child's golf set

Half marathon held at St. Bernard
St. Bernard Prep School hosted its first half-marathon Saturday, March 9, with 79 runners registered. Coming from Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama, the runners followed a newly-constructed course that meandered through the treasure forest of St. Bernard Abbey. Seventy-two of the participants completed the run.

The Pediatric Closet at Cullman Regional Medical Center recently received donations from Candy Thomas, a fourth grade teacher at St. Paul’s Lutheran School, and her students.

Cullman Lions Club fish and ham dinner
The Cullman Lions Club held a fish fry Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Cullman Middle School cafeteria. Over 2,050 people were served a fine meal of catfish or ham, with baked potatoes, slaw and homemade desserts. Of that total, 950 people were served through the “drive-through.”

Cold Springs Miss, Junior Miss and Fair Queen pageants to be held March 15
Miss Cold Springs and Junior Miss Cold Springs pageants will be held at 7 p.m. March 15, 2013, in the Jesse George Gynmasium.

Hanceville High School's Miss Enhancer Pageant
Hanceville High School's Miss Enhancer Pageant will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Admission cost is $6 and all proceeds benefit the Hanceville High School Library. The pageant will consist of the Junior Miss Enhancer, the Miss Enhancer, and the Fair Queen pageants.
